Frankincense is an aromatic resin obtained from trees of the genus Boswellia - primarily from the countries of Somalia, Yemen and Ethiopia. As an ingredient in incense, It's rich characteristics include notes of citric-spicy, slightly lemon, with conifer-like undertones. Used widely in perfumes and cosmetics as well as incense - it's use and history is long, as demonstrated in the many biblical references for Frankincense. 

Herb & Earth incense sticks from Nippon Kodo are based on a thin bamboo stick core – slender in style and coming in a variety of shades, depending on fragrance. These thin bamboo sticks create low amounts of smoke, which allows you to enjoy more of the pure fragrance used in this range of sticks. Each variety of Herb & Earth Incense Sticks is based upon a singular fragrance – so is great for creating simple yet bold aromas wherever you burn these.
