From Nippon Kodo's Kyara Taikan family of Premium Incense, this item is the 45 Short Stick version (bound as a small book). This Incense also ships in a 150 Medium length stick box and in a Long Stick version of 100 sticks. All 3 are stocked by Vectis Karma.

These finest quality sticks are created from a blend of Aloeswood, herbs and spices. Kyara is the name used for the finest Aloeswood, sourced from Vietnam and surrounds. This is an ever decreasing and difficult to find resource , and has become more expensive than gold by weight. Taikan translates as 'Great Prospects' - so together this item name translates as 'Great Prospects Kyara'. This item sits towards the top end of Nippon Kodo's Japanese Incense production, so is very special.

'Listening' to these sticks will reward you with a very sophisticated aromatic experience. You'll be enjoying a fragrance used at ancient Japanese Imperial Court Incense ceremonies.

The packaging is a fabric covered Paulownia wood box and includes a ceramic Incense Stick holder. With its small side clasp, the box appears as a small fabric bound book. In addition to appearances, the fabric serves the additional purpose of moisture protection, helping to keep the sticks in prime condition.
